Your Queensland CPD year and when it is due
In Queensland, continuing professional development runs on a CPD year set by the Office of Fair Trading. Licensed agents and salespeople complete their CPD within each CPD year to keep their registration or licence current.
If you are not sure when yours is due, check the issue date on your registration or licence, then count 12 months forward for your current CPD year. QLD CPD Training FAQs
Is this CPD nationally recognised training?+–
No. CPD is professional development rather than a nationally recognised qualification, so you receive a completion certificate for your CPD records, never a Statement of Attainment. It is delivered by Archer Institute, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45020).
Which units do I need?+–
Both. Queensland requires two CPD sessions in each CPD year, and Archer delivers them as two units: Market Property and Trust Accounts, $100 each. Complete both and your sessions for the year are done. Are these Type 1 or Type 2 sessions?+–
Both are Type 1 sessions approved by the Queensland Office of Fair Trading: QLDCPD 20250166 Market Property and QLDCPD 20250167 Preparing to Work with Trust Accounts. Queensland lets you complete two Type 1 sessions in a CPD year, or one Type 1 and one Type 2, so these two together are your two sessions. You can check both codes on the Queensland Government Type 1 session register.
How much does QLD CPD cost for the year?+–
$100 per unit and $200 for both, with no bundle fee. You enrol in each unit through the student portal and receive a completion certificate for each.
What do I get when I finish?+–
A completion certificate for each unit, for your CPD records.
Do I need CPD in my first year?+–
If your licence or registration was issued less than 12 months ago, a first-year exemption may apply. Check your exact position with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading before you enrol.

Each unit is short and focused. The units are online, self-paced and available 24/7, and most agents finish a unit in a few hours.
